Under the guidance of the Vice Chancellor of KDU Major General Milinda Peiris RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc MPhil and the Dean of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences Surgeon Captain Ranga Perera, the undergraduates of Intake 39 of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, General Sir John Kotelawala Defense University organized the blood donation campaign “DROPS OF HOPE’23” on Friday, the 03rd of March 2023 at the University Hospital KDU.
This Annual event was organized for the 10th consecutive year by the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences with approximately 150 voluntary blood donors including the Day Scholars, Academic/ Non-Academic Staff and other voluntary donors. All the funds and the donations received by the campaign are expected to be donated to the Ceylon School for the Deaf & Blind – Ratmalana.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence and Administration) of KDU Brigadier Chinthaka Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
